Bridge Replacement - Park Street (Route 20)
PROJECT DETAILS:
This project included the completion of Phase II of the MassDot contract, previously left incomplete by another contractor. The scope required the demolition of an existing concrete and steel stringer bridge over the CSX Railroad and Route 67 NB, the construction of concrete spread footings, abutments and wing walls, steel superstructure with cast-in-place decks and parapets. This project also included extensive support of excavation, roadwork, landscaping, drainage and utility work. A major focus was coordination with the CSX Railroad. There was a significant time extension granted on this project due to a MassDOT survey issue that occurred during the prior contract for this work.
