Bridge Replacement - Pleasant Street, Millis
PROJECT DETAILS:
This bridge replacement project in Millis included the demolition of the existing three span, concrete bridge prior to constructing the proposed bridge; a new two span structure consisting of a reinforced concrete deck slab supported by prestressed concrete deck beams. The new pier and abutments are reinforced concrete supported on drilled shafts. This job also involved phased water control, support of excavation, installation of various utilities, stone masonry installation and approach roadway work. This project was part of MassDOT’s Accelerated Bridge Program.
