PROJECT DETAILS:

This project required the installation of 12 foot deep water control dams using 42 inch diameter bypass piping and twin 18 inch, in-line Hydraulic Pumps, across the Shannock River in Richmond, RI. This extensive water control allowed for the complete removal of the Lower Shannock Falls Dam. Once the dam removal was complete, weirs were constructed in the river using existing river stone. These stone weirs facilitate movement of fish up the river.
