Monument Beach Boat Launch
PROJECT DETAILS:
The scope of work included the construction of a new two-lane concrete boat ramp, including steel pipe pile supports for two new seasonal floating docks. Critical to the successful completion of the project was the installation of a steel sheet pile cofferdam to allow the work to be performed in the dry. The cast-in-place concrete ramp included an integral steel sheet pile toe and special V-groove notching. The project also included armor rip-rap slope protection, and excavation and stockpiling of dredged material for future re-use as local beach nourishment.
