These repairs were made to the existing moveable bridge carrying traffic to Oyster Harbor. The scope included the removal and replacement of existing steel stringers, diaphragms, bracing elements and connections; removal and replacement of portions of the reinforced concrete deck slab and steel curb elements; removal and replacement of the machinery access platform railing and installation of an additional railing; replacement of abutment joints and a portion of the approach slabs; and steel repairs to the bottom of the Bridge Operator’s House support columns. The project was completed in two (2) phases.
